Who we are
The Gibraltar LGBTQ+ Committee is a growing organisation dedicated to promoting equality, inclusion, and awareness for the LGBTQ+ community in Gibraltar. We aim to create a supportive environment through advocacy, education, and community engagement.
We organise Gibraltar’s annual Pride event, run various community groups, offer LGBTQ+ Safe Space training, and work closely with local authorities to ensure inclusive policies and practices. We’re passionate about fostering a more inclusive society while connecting with like-minded organisations globally to learn, grow, and positively impact locally and beyond.

Pride

We organises Gibraltar Pride, celebrating diversity and promoting equality for the local LGBTQ+ community. We plan a parade, events, and activities that foster inclusion, raise awareness, and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. Through collaboration with local organisations, the committee creates a vibrant, safe space for celebration, education, and community support.

LGBTQ+ Bookclub
We organise a monthly Book Club, providing a welcoming space for community members to explore and discuss literature related to LGBTQ+ themes. The club fosters open dialogue, promotes education, and encourages understanding through shared reading. It also offers a platform for thoughtful discussion, community connection, and the celebration of diverse voices in literature.

Trans Meetings
The trans group offers a supportive and safe space for transgender individuals to share experiences, seek advice, and connect with others. The group fosters a sense of community, promotes understanding, and provides resources to help navigate challenges specific to the trans community. It encourages open dialogue, personal growth, and empowerment through mutual support and education.

XKIKI Events
We organise XKIKI events, which are vibrant social gatherings aimed at celebrating the diversity and creativity of the local LGBTQ+ community. These events provide a safe and inclusive space for people to express themselves, enjoy performances, and connect with others. XKIKI fosters a sense of belonging through fun, community-focused evenings, encouraging visibility and solidarity while promoting LGBTQ+ culture and acceptance in unique Gibraltar venues.

Awareness Campaigns
We organise and promote awareness campaigns to educate the public about LGBTQ+ issues, rights, and challenges. These campaigns focus on fostering understanding, combating discrimination, and encouraging inclusivity in the broader community. By raising visibility and highlighting important issues, the committee's campaigns inspire positive change, promote equality, and support the well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals in Gibraltar.
